Shore diving Kauai is one of the best ways to guarantee your time here is never forgotten. Our expert instructors can accommodate all levels of experience, from the first time “introductory diver” to the card carrying “salty dog”. We tailor each dive to the interests and skill levels of the participants. We love to show you all the unique and interesting creatures that can be found lurking around Kauai’s reefs.
We never mix introductory divers or students with certified divers unless they are all part of the same group. We have great respect for people who have completed the journey to stardom and earned their scuba certification. We honor that by booking tours where you will be surrounded by others who have undergone the same heroic transformation to certified diver. That also means that if you are a student or introductory diver then we will be able to give you all the attention you need in order to be successful and accomplish your goal.
Koloa Landing Shore Dive
Depth 20-50 feet
Many divers think of shore diving as having less to offer than a boat dive. This just isn’t true at Koloa landing – Kauai’s most popular shore dive spot. It is a remarkably rich and diverse reef environment. It is protected from wind and swell in a way that makes it a great place to dive even when other sites are blown out. On top of that, it is the easiest shore dive entry you can find, other than a piggy back ride! Besides a smooth entry, this shore dive also provides a great opportunity to spot some of the rarest reef fish in the Hawaiian Islands. Bandit angels, dragon morays and frogfish are just a few species your instructor may be able to point out during this shore dive. Hawaiian green sea turtles are common and eels are plentiful. Put all of this together and it’s no surprise that Koloa Landing is considered one of the best shore dives in Hawaii.
